Pipedream Theatre Project Society started in 2004 as a side project of former UBC students who met while working on residence productions. They carried their enthusiasm for musical theatre into the community, producing three full-length musicals over the next three years. The society obtained non-profit status in 2005.

After a hiatus in 2007, the group reconvened with a new board and a new direction towards contemporary musical theatre that would appeal to an urban professional audience, beginning with a wildly successful revue in 2008 called Bottoms Up! Broadway. This event helped to raise funds for their next project, 2009’s A New Brain, launching a new phase of the society.

Moving forward, Pipedream looks forward to producing more outstanding musical theatre that will continue to draw in Vancouver audiences.
